Short HistoryFrom 1889 until the stock market crash of 1929, the Cambridge Latin High Crew raced in 4+'s against rivals Rindge Technical School and Brown & Nichols. The program resurfaced in 1989 as the Cambridge Rindge & Latin Crew Club. Managed and coached by CRLS teachers Linda Lipkin, Phyllis Bretholtz, and Tobe Korsgren the Club was supported by parents dues and students rowed several days a week in the fall from the Community Rowing center in Boston. When the Cambridge Boat Club remodeled in 1999, space was created for CRLS and in the Spring of 2000 the CRLS crews on the Charles River. Today , students participate in the spring and Fall.
